Do you absolutely have to buy the cheapest food for your budget? Okay, if your budget allows nothing else. Do you absolutely have to buy where food is most convenient? Okay, if you must. Just be aware that convenience betrays Earth again and again.

So, if you can, by all means, buy healthy food. Why? Because you buy so much more than food.

What We Eat: Choosing a New Way as Big Ag Fails

We have great power to grow the existing alternative to Big Ag. (1) We need to use Earth-based thinking. (2) And, we must band together to let decision-makers know that we do not want them to subsidize and prop up Big Ag because it is not the best system for growing and distributing food. It is filled with injustices and harms our planet terribly.

The special need was a leaky roof—not only dripping but multiple little streams. These leaks in the large tarp roof over the Dan Swanson Centro Cultural interfered with all the activities (and there are many) happening in the cultural center. The estimate to replace the roof? $1500. Impossible in the financial reality of the Jubilee Circle in San Mateo.
