How to align our money with our values for a more just world has been an aim of Jubilee Economics since our inception (2020). It is also part of the current Jubilee Covenant. Recently, the San Diego Jubilee Circle met for an hour and a half with financial advisor Andy Loving to help us put more nuts and bolts into what we can all do with our money to contribute to a more ecologically and socially just economy.
The oppression of women is in high gear everywhere. Currently, in the U.S. exceptional efforts are denying women control of their bodies. This oppression is being enforced by laws and upheld in courts. Those deciding are mostly men. All the while, men have a wide range of choices when it comes to decisions about their bodies—especially white men.
Sitting at an outdoor gathering recently, strong gusts of wind messed with the microphones and blew over a display now and then. Speakers smiled as they spoke of the strong winds.
