A pretty special invitation offered under the Jubilee Tree today.
We know an economy that fits on one planet cannot make growth its primary measure. Cynthia Moe-Lobeda insists this economic shift needs to build a moral economy. Jubilee says “Yay!” She’s inviting you to join remotely one of her classes this Fall.
Dear One Earth Jubilee friends,
I was honored to serve as resource person in one of your Jubilee Forums a few months ago, and I thank Lee Van Ham for that invitation!
Many people in audiences that I have addressed in the last year have expressed desire to learn more about how to engage in the sacred quest for economies that enable flourishing for all. In response to those requests, we at Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary are embarking on an experiment. We are welcoming people who are not seminary students to join in one of our regular seminary courses called Building Moral Economies this Fall term. You are invited! There are still a few more days to get registered as a Community Auditor for Dr. Moe-Lobeda’s Building a Moral Economy class. In order to register, please follow the steps below:
Please watch the Welcome Video from Dr. Moe-Lobeda. This brief 4-minute video provides important information about the course meeting times and the expectations of you as a Community Auditor student.
- After you have watched the video, if you are committed to meeting the course expectations, you may register by completing this Registration Form.
- Complete your online payment here. Scroll down to the “Community Auditor Fee”, select details, and enter your information. Remember, this course is offered to you at a sliding scale discount – $250 – $1,075 (the standard auditor student rate). Please consider what amount is feasible for you that will also help make it possible for us to continue this sliding scale option in the future.
Please complete the registration form and make your online payment by August 28th. After we have received the form and online payment, you will be added to the course and will receive further information from Dr. Moe-Lobeda to order your books and receive the course Zoom link.
Thank you again for your interest in Building a Moral Economy and we hope you’ll be joining us this fall for this course! If we don’t hear from you by Friday, we’ll assume this is not going to work for you this fall and hope to be in touch with you as future opportunities like this arrive.
With warm greetings,
Cynthia
