Under the Jubilee tree, scientists tell us the Overshoot Day story.
One of the most important dates annually is Earth Overshoot Day. Why? From the website, “every year, a Country Overshoot Day marks the date when Earth Overshoot Day would be if all humanity lived like people in that country. In other words, it is the day when the planet’s annual biocapacity budget would be used up if everyone on Earth consumed as much as the residents of that particular country.”
Note about The September 5 Jubilee Forum: Guest Darwin Fishman will talk with us about his work at a local detention center. Register lee@jubilee-economics.org.
