For eight days, six of us were in Mexico, traveling way south to the OneEarth Jubilee Circle in San Cristobal, Chiapas, and then heading back up to central Mexico’s state of Puebla to be with the San Mateo Circle. It was the first such trip since before the pandemic. For three of us who’d made such visits before, we saw and heard incredible development in the capacities of these Circles—profound ministries relating with people ignored by prevailing systems.
The OneEarth Jubilee Circles, working in their local contexts, are working with people to create a local economy from the bottom up. People told us about how they have found they together can be agents of change when they work together and create groups in solidarity for OneEarth structures. Their excitement is palpable as they testified to us of the changes in their own lives and taught us how they were doing it.
